LOCAL BUSINESSES RECOGNIZED IN REGIONAL PRESS

Historic Toxaway businesses and attractions have been making headlines all over the region this summer.

Bold Life, a Hendersonville-based publication, profiled representatives from three of our local businesses recently. Click the links in the caption below to read their stories.

Denise Altay and Sean Collinsworth, owners of Killer Bees Honey; outdoor educator Moriah Geer-Hardwick tending a fire at Earthshine Lodge; and Executive Director Kelly Holbrook surrounded by seedlings at Southern Highlands Reserve.

And check out the latest issue of The Laurel Magazine featuring a special 8-page section devoted to our area, including a helpful business listing map.

Like many places in the United States, help in our area is getting hard to find.

We are looking for a few good people to work with us on our many projects.

That help can come in the form of joining our board or helping on a committee or just assisting with a single project. We could use assistance in many disciplines, among them:

  • Publishing
  • Fundraising/Development
  • Landscape Architecture
  • Commercial Development
  • Legal
  • Marketing

If you have a few hours to spare and an interest in our cause, please raise your hand; we would love to talk to you further.

While the pay is not in dollars, the work does come with extraordinary satisfaction for contributing to the greater good of this wonderful place we all call home. Email us at info@historictoxaway.org.
